Good news, God's righteousness

"For our sake He made Christ virtually to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become (emdued with, viewed as being in, and examples of) the righteousness of God (what we ought to be approved of and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness). 2 Corinthians 5:21 amplified

Do you struggle with feeling like you have to follow a set of rules to be pleasing to God? Or that you need to accomplish this, that, and the other to meet His standards of approval for your life? If so, Satan has you buying into lies that he has deceived countless of us with throughout the ages. Ask God to deliver you from this crazy train of thought and put you back on the right track.

Our Heavenly Father loves us and is already pleased with us because He sees us through the lens of His perfect Son Jesus Christ. When we believe on Him, we are saved. And all that He died to purchase for us becomes ours. Victory over the enemy!

You and I don't have what it takes to make it back to our Father. But our Redeemer lives! And He freely gives us what we need. His robes of righteousness in exchange for our failures, shortcomings and weaknesses. If you are very aware of these in yourself, rejoice! You can now see your dependency upon God and are in a great position to call out to Him for help.

"Humble yourselves, (demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation) under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you, casting the whole of your care (ALL your anxieties, ALL your worries, ALL your concerns, once and for all) on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully. " 1 Peter 5:6,7 amplified

Sometimes all we need is a little perspective change: His righteousness, not our own. Accept and receive that today. Belief in His words is a POWERFUL, life-changing thing.

Here's a simple prayer:

Lord, thank You that Your mercies are new every morning. I ask for the grace to put on Jesus's righteousness today. Free me from the mindset of "following the rules" and the striving for perfection that keeps me bound. Thank You that You LOVE me and are already PLEASED with me because I am Your son/daughter, the work of Your hands. You see Me through Your Son Jesus. I believe that You have a smile on Your face with You think about me!

In confident joy,
Kim
